Davos has no airport of its own, so almost every visitor arriving by air starts their journey at Zurich Airport. It's a scenic but long drive into the Alps, and the difference between a smooth arrival and a frustrating one usually comes down to the transfer: a private car waiting at arrivals versus a shared shuttle, a train change in Landquart, and a taxi queue at the other end.
The drive covers roughly 150 kilometers, mostly via the A3 and A13 motorways before climbing into the PrΓ€ttigau valley and up to Davos. In good conditions it takes about two hours; in winter, with snow on the higher sections, closer to two and a half.
Our chauffeurs drive this route regularly and know where conditions typically slow down, particularly on the final climb into Davos during heavy snowfall, and plan pickup and departure times accordingly.
Every airport pickup includes free flight tracking, so if your flight is delayed, your chauffeur adjusts automatically rather than you having to call and rearrange. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign and helps load luggage straight into the car.
This matters more on this route than on a short city transfer β arriving after a long flight only to wait for a shared shuttle to fill up before starting a two-hour drive is one of the more common complaints about getting to Davos.
Winter travelers to Davos are often carrying more than a standard suitcase. Our Executive Class sedans can take a couple of ski bags alongside normal luggage, and for larger families or groups, our van comfortably fits up to seven passengers with matching luggage and equipment space.
Let us know your equipment when booking so we can assign the right vehicle from the start, rather than arriving to find the boot is too small.
For families or groups of up to seven traveling together, a single van transfer is usually more comfortable and often more cost-effective than splitting into multiple sedans. It also means everyone arrives at the same time, which matters when hotel check-in or lift tickets are involved.
Larger groups or multiple vehicles for bigger parties can be arranged with a single coordinated booking.
Booking your return journey at the same time as your arrival is the simplest option, but it's not required β you can book the Davos to Zurich Airport leg separately, closer to your departure date, once your flight time is confirmed.
We build in extra time for early morning departures from Davos, particularly during winter, so you reach check-in with a comfortable margin.
You can book through our website, email, or WhatsApp. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive your chauffeur's details.
